This is a 1954 style Ideal Smokey. This is the 2nd style of Doll produced by Ideal. It is 17 1/2" tall. Only its face was made of vinyl. It was also made in 15" & 17" sizes. It only comes as a sitting bear. The 17" came as a talker with a crank in the back of its body. Newer talkers had a pull string. Early bears had a felt hat like the 52/53 dolls. Later versions had a plastic hat.
